| Wright Safety Solutions was set up by Mr John Wright in November 2006, aiming to offer the service of safety consultant to small and medium-sized businesses in the Coventry and Warwickshire and also extending to some Leicestershsire and Northamptonshire areas. Local businesses, streetworks and construction sites have benefitted from inspections, audits, guidance and training in risk assessment, lifting equipment, machinery guarding, accident investigation, COSHH, safety management. |

| Mr. Wright has a degree in Chemistry and 30 years experience with PPG Industries Ltd. in the paint, chemical and motor plant industries including as Safety Manager for 3 years at PPG Industries, Oldbury, and 5 years before that as Automotive Laboratory quality and safety manager in Ladywood, Birmingham.
Mr. Wright achieved the NEBOSH General Certificate after attending the course at Warwickshire College, was admitted as a TechIOSH member in 2007, and has completed 12 years CPD with IOSH. |
| Many small and medium-sized businesses and construction sites have an urgent need for advice and services in the area of occupational health and safety, to assist their compliance with UK safety regulations. Wright Safety Solutions can offer smaller companies advice and services in the area of occupational health and safety, safety inspections, fire safety surveys, safety planning, and accident and incident investigations, UK regulations, particularly for businesses using machinery, chemicals or paints in engineering environments.
Wright Safety Solutions is also offering safety services to Clients and Principal Contractors in construction projects, as a safety adviser to assist with compliance with the new CDM 2015 regulations. (See the section on Construction on the menu to the right of this page). As a sole-trader, Wright Safety Solutions can offer these services to smaller businesses at a very competitive rate. My basic rate is at present £36 per hour or discount £240 per day (£120 per half day) but Wright Safety Solutions is very flexible and I will consider other possible arrangements. Note:

Your safety summary: OK, if you want to be serious about safety there are several issues to cover. I can offer a complete package or we can make a start on a particular issue that concerns you and then go from there.
In order for you to completely comply with the law and avoid problems with insurers, local authorities and inspectors, there are a number of things I can do with you. The basis of everything about safety at your site is YOUR safety policy. You can't borrow someone else's. It has to be yours. To understand what you need to do requires some knowledge of safety law. There's about 50 important laws but depending on the nature of your business it's possible that familiarity with just a few is all you need.
Safety should involve everyone, and you should have colleagues or supervisors within your staff to help you manage safety in the workplace, and you need to ensure ALL your staff are committed to safety, so some training will help there.
If you have an accident or safety incident you need to know how to respond, how to investigate and if it has to be reported. You need to know about risk assessment - and that helps avoid accidents and incidents, AND help avoid an employee putting in a compensation claim against you.
Accidents and incidents can also be avoided with correct signs, appropriate machine guards and employee training in manual handling. You can also save your business by ensuring you prevent it from burning down! Prevent fire - detect it, contain it, escape from it - YOU need to DO your own fire risk assessment now, and I can help.
